What does board-level repair mean?
It means fixing the actual fault on the console’s mainboard: replacing a damaged HDMI port, power component or chip, rather than swapping the whole board. Most shops only do part swaps, so board-level repair often saves you money and keeps all your data and games.
How long does a repair take?
Most common repairs like HDMI ports or Switch charging are turned around quickly, often within a couple of days depending on parts. I’ll always give you a realistic timescale when you drop the console off.
Will I lose my games or saved data?
No. Because I repair the console itself rather than replacing it, your storage, games and saved data stay exactly as they were.
How much does a repair cost?
PS5 and Xbox Series HDMI repairs are £50, no-power faults £60–£120, disc drives £40–£60, ports £50 and overheating services £40. Nintendo Switch charging, power and game-reader faults are £35, with battery or screen work £45–£60. See the pricing page for full details.
How does diagnosis and pricing work?
Every repair starts with a formal diagnosis before pricing. I’ll inspect the console, confirm the fault and give you a clear price before any work goes ahead. You only pay once you’re happy with the quote.
