You do not need to live in Warrington to use Console Dr. Mail-in repair is available UK-wide for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch faults. The most important step is how you pack the console.
Before you post anything
Message first with your console model, fault and photos if you can. I will confirm mail-in is suitable and tell you what to write on the outside of the box.
Remove discs and game cards. Note your serial number for your own records. Backing up saves is always sensible, though board-level repair usually keeps your data intact.
Packaging that survives Royal Mail or couriers
- Use a sturdy box with at least 5 cm padding on every side (bubble wrap or foam).
- Wrap the console in anti-static bubble wrap. Controllers can travel in the same box if padded separately.
- Fill empty space so nothing shifts. Shake test the sealed box before you tape it.
- Use insured tracked delivery for the value of the console.
- Put your name, phone and return address inside the box as well as on the label.
- Include a note with the fault, your contact details and any quote reference if you already have one.
What happens when it arrives
I confirm receipt, diagnose properly, and send you a clear price before repair starts. Turnaround is typically within 48 hours once approved. Same-day repair adds £20 when I have capacity.
The console is tested before return postage. It goes back tracked and insured the same way it arrived.
When mail-in is not the best option
If the console has severe liquid damage or multiple heavy impact faults, photos first save you postage on a repair that may not be economical. I will tell you honestly before you send it.
